Since their humble beginnings in Oklahoma City in 2003 Student Film has scrambled its way up the food chain and made a name for itself as the storytellers of the indie scene and the future of Oklahoma rock. Amidst the social, political, and religious injustice of modern-day America Student Film has taken the issues personally and refuses to be silenced. Frontman Justin Rice (guitar, vocals) spins cryptic tales of government secrecy, religious clout, and acid trips with Jesus on top of some of the most tastefully constructed yet surprisingly incendiary rock songs the state has ever seen. The result is a socially conscious message conducted through the medium of a live performance that can be best described as infectious and enthralling.
