Mama Sweet

Put simply, Mama Sweet is just a damn good live act. Their mixture of progressive rock and red dirt country make them accessible to several different types of music fans. Hell, I know metal heads who dig Mama Sweet. Aron Holt is a formidable songwriter and Alan Orebaugh is jaw-droppingly good. I wrote once that when you watch him play guitar you automatically start living vicariously through him, and it's so true. I used to live next door to him and everytime I heard him jam or walked over to watch him play it made me ashamed to call mself a guitar player. If I could write words as well as he writes riffs I'd be selling novels by the truck load.
